Automatic Marketing

How can you get your message in front of interested people over and over again? How can you get them to ask to receive information about you, your company and your products? Offer to teach them something they want to know.

Beth O'Malley, author of "LifeBooks: Creating a Treasure for the Adopted Child," prepared a seven-part online course about lifebooks which she offers free through email. Sign up at her site <http://www.adoptionlifebooks.com> and you will get an email a day for seven days, each with a lesson about lifebooks.

According to Beth, sales of her book have increased since she began offering "samples" through the email course. Readers like it so much, that when some have accidentally deleted part of the course they ask her to send it again.

The best part is that sending the email course is automated. Beth uses a sequential autoresponder to automatically send the course emails. Once it was set up, her work was done. (You can try your own at no cost at http://www.aweber.com/.)

Beth's audience wasn't familiar with autoresponders and online email courses, so she added more information about the course to her web site. By explaining exactly what you get when you sign up, and listing a few sample lessons, she increased sign-ups and book sales significantly.

What can you teach your web visitors to turn them into customers?

You'll get lots of fun and creative ideas like this one in Cathy Stucker's free email newsletter, Bright Ideas. To subscribe, see http://www.idealady.com/
